Brian Ortega To Face The Korean Zombie In September

Brian Ortega had a choice, and he chose to make his return to the octagon against Chan Sung Jung “The Korean Zombie” in Mexico City on September 21. Reported by BJPenn.com’s Chris Taylor, the fight has since been teased by both fighters on their respective Instagram pages.

Both fighters come into this featherweight bout with much on the line. Ortega hopes to rebound after his devastating loss to champion Max Holloway last December, and Jung hopes to turn a win against the former challenger into a fight for the belt. Jung’s camp considers this fight “the next best thing,” to a tittle shot according to a statement from Taylor.

Both fighters currently sit at 14-1-1 for Ortega and 15-5 for Jung.

More info on the rest of the card to follow as it’s released.
