Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds Announces Team Event Planned For September

Jiu-jitsu may be an “individual” sport, but team events have recently been gaining popularity. Now, Combat Jiu-Jitsu is getting on board.

An announcement from Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds on social media has revealed that the promotion is planning a team-based event for this September in Las Vegas. While details are currently sparse and the event is very much in the midst of being planned, we know that 10th Planet will be one of the teams involved in the competition (which makes sense, given that EBI spawned CJJ).

What we do know about the event is that there will be four teams, and all competitors will be in the 145lb weight class. Three more teams are set to be announced, and the promotion is calling on fans to name other teams they’d like to see competing for the title of Combat Jiu-Jitsu World Team Champion.

The Jiu-Jitsu Times will provide updates on this event as they become available.
