Fans all over the world are excited by the latest string of news marking the return of Fedor Emelianenko to the field of MMA fighting. The Bellator MMA president had recently made contact with the former PRIDE FC heavyweight champion back in December, but this incredible fighter, who had retired back in 2012, had told his old friend that he is still not interested. However, six months have passed since that fateful encounter, and now the champion is saying that he is interested in returning to the fighting field thanks to his recovery.
“I was able to recover and heal old injuries. The last three years I have maintained physical form, but this level is not enough to go into battle, therefore recently I started intensive training. We have assembled a team of versatile coaches and athletes who will help me in the training process” Emelianenko continued. “There is still work to do to prepare to leave the ring. Negotiations are underway with promotions. Once agreements are reached, there will be information on the date of the fight and rival.”
