This October… No legs are safe.
Former UFC fighter Rousimar Palhares is set to face Gordon “The King” Ryan next month at the World Jiu-Jitsu Festival at Long Beach College. The news was announced on the organization’s official Instagram page in a post earlier today.
This will be Palhares’ second time facing a member of the Danaher Death Squad, having fought Garry Tonon to a draw at Polaris 3 back in 2016. Ryan will also be coming off of his planned appearance at ADCC at the end of September. Given the very similar skill sets of both grapplers, their respective leg lock games being known the world over, it will be interesting to see who is able to ‘walk’ away with the win.
… I regret nothing.
The superfight is set for October 6 and tickets can be purchased here. More updates to follow.
