The techniques and training used in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) are relevant to success in other combat sports and disciplines. One such discipline is that of wrestling. Knowing how to successfully defend against a takedown for example is a skill taught in BJJ that is particularly useful in wrestling and other sports like it. This is because being able to successfully take oneself out of harm’s way by being able to to escape from a takedown is likely to help secure victory for a fighter. This is just one of the many skills taught in BJJ that can help one learn how to fight wrestling with Jiu-Jitsu.
