New Orleans may have the reputation of being a party city, but Illinois resident Michael Hoffman went a little too far. When he would not leave a bar at 4 a.m., a Louisiana State Trooper body slams drunken tourist and threw him on the ground.
After the trooper handcuffed Hoffman, Hoffman remarked a video camera was capturing the entire scene.
Hoffman was not booked, but some of the top officials had the opportunity to watch the video.
When the video appeared on Facebook, there were 668,000 views in one afternoon. The police stated the trooper’s actions were appropriate, considering the circumstances.
