Lucas Valente To Face JT Torres at Third Coast Grappling IV

They’re billing it as “the best guard passer in the game vs. the best guard in the game.” On March 14, Lucas Valente of Gracie Barra will test his skills against JT Torres of Atos and Essential BJJ at Third Coast Grappling’s IV big night of submission hunting.

Valente is a previous Third Coast Grappling champion at 170lbs. His titles at black belt include 2019’s IBJJF American Nationals, Miami Fall Open, Dallas Spring Open, and the Houston Open. He placed second at Worlds, and was previously the #1 ranked brown belt internationally.

Torres is an ADCC champion, taking gold in 2019 and 2017. Additional titles include 2018 Pans championship, 2013 no-gi Worlds, and 2015 European Open.

The March 14 card also features Gordon Ryan, Patrick Gaudio, Gray Maynard, and Roberto Rivas, among others.
