Earlier this month, top BJJ photographer Mike Calimbas decided to set up a charity auction to benefit victims of Hurricane Harvey in the jiu-jitsu community. The response was overwhelming, with dozens upon dozens of businesses and individuals committing to donate goods and services, including private lessons from black belts all across the country.
We’re happy to report that as of today, the auction is officially live, and you can check out (and bid on) all the cool donations on the official website. More items are still being added (including a lot of BJJ apparel), so make sure you keep an eye on the site if you have something in particular you’re hoping for. You can find everything from jiu-jitsu-specific items and services, to float tank sessions, to a hair salon gift certificate, and 100% of the proceeds go towards helping those affected by the devastating storm.
