Ronda Rousey Reacts After UFC 193 Loss: ‘I’m fine … I’ll be back’

At UFC 193, Holly Holm kicked Ronda Rousey in the side of the neck. That kick crumpled the now former Women’s Bantamweight Champion. A few punches to the face on the ground, and the referee called the match in Holm’s favor. Obviously, millions of people saw that kick and heard the impact. Millions more are now seeing videos of the fight and how everything went down.

Rousey was knocked out during the fight. She regained consciousness and was transported to a nearby hospital. At that visit, doctors ran tests for a concussion and sewed up her lip. People are criticizing the former champion for going to the hospital instead of the post-fight press conference. It still makes sense to value one’s health over a press conference.

Since Rousey left so quickly, she never said anything to the press or fans in any capacity. Rowdy recently posted on Instagram to let everyone know how she’s doing.

The statement reveals that she didn’t suffer medical emergencies after the fight. From a medical standpoint, Rousey is battered and bruised but 100% healthy. Everyone knows the mental anguish from losing the match is going to stick around for some time. Rousey seems to admit as much in her Instagram post. In her absence, she’s expected to film various movies.

Regardless of what she does while gone from the UFC, Rowdy has made it apparent that she’s coming back for her rematch.
