As many MMA fans are certainly aware, Uriah “Primetime” Hall will not be taking on Vitor Belfort in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 124, set to go down tonight, January 14.
Fans got the news yesterday that Uriah missed weigh-ins and was dropped from the bout, leaving Vitor without an opponent and forcing him to postpone what could have been his last fight in mixed martial arts.
Fans were originally left in the dark as to what happened to Hall. However, only minutes before the time of this writing, Uriah Hall’s Facebook page made a post explaining what went wrong for the 33-year-old star.
According to the post, Hall fell ill before weigh-ins and was rushed to the hospital. There, he was held overnight.
Thank you all for reaching out. Your support is incredibly valuable and appreciated. On Saturday morning as Uriah was…
Yesterday, upon hearing the news that Hall would not be fighting, Belfort posted on Instagram, wishing Hall a “soon recovery.”
I dedicated 2 months for this training camp. Stayed away from my family and who knows me knows how hard this is for me. I spent all necessary to have the best structure to achieve my goal. My team had an intense dedication even during the holidays. I did all my fight week obligations, cut the weight and made the fight weight. Unfortunately my opponent had a problem during his weight cut, I wish him a soon recovery @uriahhall .Now I just want to go back home and see my family. Thanks for all the support along this training camp.Love you all!!
